Annual Village Picnic
and
Car Show Festival
on
Sunday, July 13th
prepare yourself for the return of the 10th
Annual Village Picnic and
Car Show Festival on Sunday, July 13
th.
Come on out for an all day event
beginning with our annual car show presented by TJ’s
Classics / Black Dog
Productions and music by DJ Rudy K. Car registration is
from 8:30 AM until
noon with an awards presentation at 3:30 PM (for more
information contact
Tony Luscalzo at 847-515-8110.)
During the show, enjoy food, fun and games along the
Prairie Path and
sponsored by local services and businesses. Moonwalks,
climbing walls, train
rides and more are available for children while live music
performed by Fast
Eddie and the Corvettes from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and a
special performance
by Sundance from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM sets the mood.
Music in the Park
Beginning July 9
th,
the Music in the Park summer concert
series returns with a wide range of musical acts sure to
appeal to a variety of
music lovers. Located under the Gazeebo in the park
directly across from
Village Hall, entertainment begins at 7:00 PM each
Wednesday and runs until
8:30 PM. Be on the lookout for a schedule of performers in
the coming weeks
so you can plan your calendar!
Senior Taxi Service
Call American Taxi at (630) 920-9480 to schedule a
pick up and start using the Senior Taxi Service!
Beginning December first, all Village of
Berkeley senior citizen residents will have the opportunity
to participate in a new taxi share a
ride program. This program allows seniors to use discount
ride tickets to pay half of any taxi ride within a 50-mile
radius of Berkeley (providing that ride begins or ends in
Berkeley.) Eligible senior residents must show proof of
Berkeley residency, be 62 years of age or older,
and must obtain a free Village of Berkeley ID card at the
fire station. Discount ride tickets can be purchased at the
Village Hall, sold in booklets, for $10 starting November
26th .
All rides must be booked through American Taxi
Company
and your ID card must be shown to the driver at pick
up.
