Lt. Governor Corinne Wood recently chose the Berkeley Fire Department as the filming site for a series of Public Service Announcements promoting legislation known as “Scott’s Law”, which would increase penalties for motorists who injure or kill a fire fighter, police officer or other emergency roadway worker who is responding to an accident. The
legislation was introduced after Chicago Fire Lieutenant Scott Gillen was

which will air on television beginning in April, also seek to increase the
public’s awareness of safety at accident scenes. All
Berkeley residents are encouraged to support this legislation by signing
