Welcome Home
Something that wasn't said to us when we
came home so when I heard this song by Brenda Simpson
it brought tears to my eyes.

This was a kind of self portrait of the team that was e-mailed to me by Sage's wife Kimmy because over the years I've lost everything from my past. This was taken just before our last mission in Viet Nam and it was our scariest one, because there is this guy Murphy and he has laws. We had just spent 18 months without a casualty, except for a few minor scrapes and bruises nothing that kept any of us out of action for very long. There is one member of our team missing from this picture his name is Bragg, a tunnel sniffing dog that adopted me the 1st day in country, he was probably out playing with his water buffalo friends or chasing snakes, his favorite pastime. He did go with us on the mission and despite Murphy and by the grace of God we all came home safe.
